Central Civil Services Cultural & Sports Board, DOPT, New Delhi had organized the Inter Ministry Women Volleyball Tournament 2019 at Vinay Marg Sports Complex New Delhi from 26th to 29th Nov 2019. The team of Ministry of Defence comprising entirely of the sportspersons of the Defence Accounts Department women volleyball team participated for the first time in the tournament and won the finals by defeating Ministry of Finance team. MOD women volleyball team has brought laurels to the Defence Accounts Department by becoming champions of Inter Ministry Volleyball tournament 2019. CGDA & Chairperson of Defence Accounts Sports Control Board invited the team players along with the head of the offices of players at CGDA Hqrs Office for a get together and facilitation on 3rd Dec 2019. Team captain handed over the championship trophy to the CGDA & Chairperson DASCB. CGDA congratulated the team for winning the finals and encouraged the morale of the players for further participation in such sports events. The function ended with a vote of thanks by Jt.Secretary DASCB.
