3rd Synergy Conference between Indian Army and CGDA was held at Manekshaw Centre, Delhi Cantt. On 27/06/2019. The conference was presided over by Lt General Devraj Anbu, Vice chief of Army staff (VCOAS) and Shri Sanjiv Mittal,IDAS, Controller General of Defence Accounts( CGDA). VCOAS, on the occasion, recognised the important Role IDAS officers and DAD play in guiding the officers of Indian Army for arriving at critical financial decisions and at the same time contributing equally in ensuring financial discipline through Accounting and Audit Function. CGDA, on the occasion, shared the vision of the department, wherein it is envisaged to leverage IT to improve the service delivery by the Department to Defence Forces. He also highlighted the support needed from the Army side for successful achievement of the objectives. The conference was attended by senior officers from DAD and Indian Army where issues of concern were discussed and deliberated to arrive at mutually agreed solutions. Ms. Anuradha Mitra, IDAS, Addl. CGDA assured of quick action on the issues so as to enhance the satisfaction of defence personnel. At the end Lt General Ashwini kumar, Adjutant General (AG) thanked CGDA for the synergy conference which led to resolution of critical issues . He also expressed the need to continue such engagements at higher levels.
