In continuation of its effort to redress grievances of defence pensioners at their doorsteps, 169th Defence pension Adalat, by the Defence Accounts Department, was held at Jadunath Sainik Institute, HQ Western Command, Chandimandir on 20th and 21st August 2019. The Adalat was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Shri Sanjiv Mittal, IDAS, CGDA. Speaking on the occasion, Chief Guest Shri Sanjiv Mittal, IDAS, CGDA brought out the complexities involved in the defence pension and highlighted the importance of such Adalats in resolving long unsettled pension related issues of Ex-Servicemen. He also informed about the upcoming comprehensive pension package wherein the entire process of pension sanction would be computerized. The adalat received an overwhelming response from the Ex-Servicemen. Wherein a total number of 435 cases were received out of which more than 50% of the cases were settled during the course of Adalat itself.
